The Magnus M-Bal system, a new way to build

The company MAGNUS, now established in France, exists since 1986.

M-BAL is a revolutionary system of sustainable and economical construction for your wood house. Each element is made of a log or a plank in wood, filled with insulating materials. Thanks to their constant size and diameter, they can be stacked easily and are an advantageous alternative to massive wood.

Easy, insulated and sustainable, discover all the assets of your next house of wood's material.

The logs and planks are available in sections of 17, 19 and 21 centimeters. They are injected at 120° an exclusive component M.PUR without any danger for health, that make them unsulated and tough.

The assets of our process

This process, used in the extrem climatic conditions of northen countries, was subject of studies performed by MM Bomberg and Kumaran, researchers at the Centre National de Recherche du Canada (CNRC).

The mounting

[Assemblage]

The mounting is performed by stacking the logs. Posing wood screws every 60 centimeters ensure a maximal mecanical resistance. Our system guarantees:

Protection

[Wind]

Wind

The process of mounting walls in logs or planks, their tickness and posing woo screws every 60 centimeters ensure a high resistance to wind. The BMS homes can be build not only in plain, but also on the sea shore or in mountain.

[Earth]

Earth

The sustainable mouning of the low parts as well as the assemblage using wood screws in steel ensure a high resistance to earthquakes.

[Cold]

Cold

The M-Bal system has a very good coefficient of heat loss (between 0.8 and 0.24 kwh/m3), depending on the thickness of the walls and the number of glass surfaces. In winter, it permits to reduce a lot the energy consumption. In summer, it slows down the heat penetration and ensure an pleasant temperature inside.

[Fire]

Fire

The components of the insulating material M.PUR belong to the B2 class, that are very few flammable.

[Humdity]

Humidity

It's depreciated using a too wet wood for houses construction. Our wood is dried cellularly to reach an adequate rate of 12%. It is then protected against all humidity. However, ensuring a good aeration is very important.

[Parasites]

Parasites

During the fabrication of the elements, the reaction temperature reaches 120°C, that prevents all bacteries to survive and wood-eaters bugs to develop.
